Iryna Arute, Psy.D., LCP
Clinical Psychologist and IFS Therapist
Psychotherapy
Your clients are not the only ones on the healing pathways. You are as well. In fact, your ability to show up for others in a truly impactful way in a large degree depends on the work you are doing/have done on your own parts.
Welcome to your landing space for healing and deep transformation!
There is no place out-of-bounds on your healing journey. Every part of you and your story is welcome. All of your experiences and feelings are trailheads to a new healing path. I desire to meet with you for a season, not forever, to dive deep at your pace so you can move on and experience your life to the fullest—and be able to offer your best authentic Self to others.
My approach
There is no place out-of-bounds on your healing journey. Every part of you and your story is welcome. All of your experiences and feelings are trailheads to a new healing path. Using Internal Family System (IFS) framework, we will get to know your inner world of parts and create new, healing experiences of connection and compassion to any parts that need it.
My values
-
My commitment is to honor the way each person has been created: mind, heart, body, and soul—and create space for exploring all of those domains in therapy as well as interlinks between them. By integrating techniques like mindfulness, IFS, and body-centered practices, holistic therapy promotes balance and empowers individuals to heal and grow.
-
I understand that cultural sensitivity and cultural humility is essential in the therapeutic process. As a Ukrainian American, I bring a unique perspective that values and respects the diverse backgrounds of my clients. My approach integrates an awareness of cultural influences and brings a feminist, anti-racist, anti-oppressive and LGBTQI-affirming set of values. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and empathy in a place where they feel heard, validated, and supported.
-
Your body tells a story. For this reason, I always integrate body awareness and somatic work with IFS, mindful of the interconnectedness of our physiology, health history, and general health with emotional health. I do this through:
Using Polyvagal Theory to guide us into a deeper understanding and healing of the nervous system
Encouraging the exploration of natural ways to optimize brain functioning and general health
Referrals to massage therapists, functional medicine doctors, and other holistic practitioners to help the body heal faster and holistically
-
Each of us comes to our healing path with a unique perspective on life. This includes the spiritual beliefs- implicit or explicit. All spiritual beliefs and practices are welcome here. I am uniquely skilled to integrate Christian spirituality into your healing journey, if that is your desire, while also being keenly mindful of religious trauma.
-
I seek to embrace neurodiversity in therapy, recognizing the unique strengths of each individual. With expertise in neurodivergent conditions, I collaborate with clients to create a respectful and effective therapy process that celebrates their unique wiring, fostering acceptance and empowerment.
-
I am a deep believer that intuition and creativity are two vehicles that take us further on healing pathways and make the process more colorful. I am here to both bring MY intuition to creativity to the therapy process as well as to help you tap into YOURS. The synergy of them both can be incredibly healing and exciting!
